Hello, my name is Steven! Since High School, I have had a huge fondness of healthy child development and growth. It all started with a small tutoring job at a local Queens library. I decided to major in Psychology to explore child development and also volunteer opportunities working with children. While volunteering at a local nonprofit organization, I had the opportunity to meet an individual with a stuttering disorder. While he went to speech therapy, I realized how crucial it is for children to be able to communicate well with others. I realized then and there that academic and social growth is affected by communication disabilities. I then decided to take speech and language classes. I am now a graduate student and aim to become a speech-language pathologist working with children immediately after graduation. While I am completing my degree, I would love to continue helping children develop academically and socially!
