Hello, my name is Raneen! I am a first-year college student at Loyola University Maryland, studying Biology with an intended double minor in business and computer science. I was born and raised in Queens, New York, and I am currently back home for personal reasons, trying to find an effective way to support my family.

From a young age, I have enjoyed tutoring my peers – which followed through with my passion for caring for children. From January of 2023, I worked as a Hospital Volunteer at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital on the weekends, and I plan to continue in the fall once I return to school.

Growing up witnessing my mom and aunts working with children allowed me to grasp better what it is like to work in that environment. Their transparency with their working atmospheres encouraged me to pursue my aspirations of working with kids despite the difficulties I would face. Many of my parents’ friends and colleagues have trusted me to care for their children from a young age; however, I only started to get paid for babysitting at 16 when family friends were overworked during the pandemic.

My work hours are flexible. However, I am taking online classes to keep up with my studies and have another part-time job. I would love to meet your family and am very eager to have an opportunity to care for and spend time with your children in the city that I call home!
