Hello! My name is Yemariamwork Engidaw (26 y/o) , but I go by Mari . I am a fourth-year medical student at UT Southwestern Medical Center, currently navigating the exciting journey of interviewing for medical residency programs. As the eldest child in my family, I have extensive experience caring for younger siblings/relatives and children of family friends. During my undergraduate years, I served as an after-school counselor, which further enhanced my skills in supervising and engaging with children. While medical school has been demanding, I have occasionally babysat for physicians and classmates I work with, maintaining my passion for childcare whenever time allowed.
Throughout my academic journey, I have received comprehensive training in CPR and First Aid, which I regularly refresh to ensure my skills remain current. I maintain a smoke-free lifestyle and am entirely comfortable around pets. As an active individual, I enjoy engaging children in a variety of physical activities that promote both fun and movement.
