Hi! My name is Angela, Im 40 years old and Im looking to take a break from my Monday-Friday day job as an Accountant for a bit! I have 7+ years experience with Child Care. I took a year break in late 2023/early 2024 and had the pleasure of babysitting a 2 month old little girl until she turned 1, and then took a temporary accounting position. Towards the end of high school and about 5 years after I graduated, I worked at HeadStart in Granbury. I started as an Assistant Teacher with pre-school kids who were between 4-6 years old for about 2 years and then I became a teacher in the Infant/Toddler program after completing my Child Development Associates certification and was in that position for about another 3 years before moving to Fort Worth. In Fort Worth, I worked at the Montessori school downtown and was the infant/toddler program director for about 3 years. I was offered multiple Nanny positions and babysat quite often for the parents whose children attended the school. When I moved to Dallas with a new Accounting job 6 years ago, I joined the Big Brother Big Sister program and was matched with an 8 year old girl for a few years. I also took an online night course a year ago to teach English to Children in other countries. I have yet to venture out of the country instead of Zoom on that as I have 3 furry kids and a house now! With HeadStart and Montessori, I had to create and implement lesson plans and tutored all subjects in grades pre-school to college, so would be great help on any homework necessary!
