One of my very core philosophies is: children are not little adults, adults are grown up children. To me, this means how children are treated and perceived when they are little will carry with them well into adulthood, therefore I would like to provide all children with a positive and healthy childhood.
I have experience working with children in a variety of settings; I have taught preschool (specifically 2-3 yrs old) and I was a resource aide for students with IEPs in an elementary school (K-5th). My favorite experience thus far has been working as a behavioral therapist for children who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a behavioral therapist, I worked with children aged 2-8. One of my passions in life is language and especially language development! I am a strong supporter of the gentle parenting lifestyle, I view all behaviors as communication attempts so even tantrums are children trying to tell me something!
