Hello! My name is Marla, a native of Boston but upon completing my JD here, I’ve come to the firm realization that I have no desire to return back home after witnessing the beauty of the city.

As a former nursing student with a focus on early childhood education, along with hands-on experience as a certified nursing assistant in various healthcare settings, including nursing homes and hospitals, I have honed my skills in caring for individuals of all ages, especially children. My background as a pharmacy technician further equipped me with patience, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various responsibilities efficiently.

Now pursuing a degree in law after graduating with a major in criminal justice and a minor in philosophy, I bring a diverse range of knowledge and a passion for learning to the table. I have always been fascinated by a variety of topics and enjoy engaging in stimulating conversations, which I believe can be enriching for children as well.

Despite, being tricked as a teen and accepted payment in the form of “future trips to the mall” for babysitting my younger cousins and family friends’ children, my love for childcare has always been genuine. I find immense joy in interacting with children, witnessing their boundless curiosity, and observing how they perceive the world around them!

In my free time, I indulge in cooking, baking, reading, exercising, traveling internationally, and exploring Chicago. These activities not only keep me engaged but also fuel my creativity and energy, which I bring to my interactions with children.
