I have been an early childhood educator for 5 years. I taught 4-5-year-olds in Russia and 2-3-year-olds in Washington, DC. In those roles, I have had CPR and First Aid training. I also took postgraduate Early Childhood Education classes, like Infant and Toddler Care and Child Grow and Development. I love teaching and engaging with young children through play and hands-on experiences.

Now I have moved back to Chicago to become a preschool teacher for the public school system. Currently, I am working as a 1-1 aid for children with special needs for children under 5 years old.

As I am doing a program to get my Illinois teaching license and working, I want to continue using my skills with children through babysitting, specifically infants because I miss spending time with them at the school in DC where I taught. I used to go to the “Baby Room” on my breaks and in the morning before work to get some baby snuggles. So, although I mostly work with toddlers and young children, I am experienced with infants and engaging with them in a communicative, respectful way to increase their autonomy and sense of self.

Rate: $22/hour – $26/hour
