Im a bilingual sitter who loves to learn more about children and watch them grow as individuals. My career goal is to become a pediatric nurse in the future.I have found working with children to be one of the most rewarding experiences. It is a precious thing to be a part of their development and watch them learn new things each day. Working firsthand in a childcare facility (chicago contemporary preschool) has given me a wonderful opportunity to teach children in a loving and nurturing learning environment. Working with children brings such a great joy! Ive been babysitting since I was about 16 years old for ages 3-8 and recently started working at a preschool which ranges from infants (4 months+) through prekindergarten (5 years). This job has taught so much more about their development and different skills to approach children or scenarios that I may encounter. Some of the certificates and trainings Ive achieved has been my CPR/first aid, SIDS/sleep, shaken baby syndrome, Mandated reporter, Child and health safety, trauma informed, and food handling. On the other hand Ive also been taught proper DCFS approach to everything.
