Hi! I’m Marie-Pierre! I graduated from Barnard College in 2018 and I am currently an AmeriCorps Health Educator at NYU Langone Family Health Centers in Brooklyn, New York. I am passionate about children’s health and one of my future goals is to become a pediatric surgeon. While in high school and in college, I babysat infants and children from ages 1 to 4. My daily tasks with the children included preparing healthy snacks, going to the playground, playing board games, doing arts and crafts, and reading. In addition to this, I worked at an afterschool program as a counselor helping children with their homework and tutoring them in subjects such as Math and Science. My previous experience also includes a French summer camp head counselor position where I was responsible for teaching basic French to a group of 20 children ages 2-6 as well as providing child-care and providing support in the areas of sports and swimming. I love children and I love creating games to keep them engaged.
My babysitting skills and experience, along with my positive attitude and friendly nature, position me to excel in this role. I would love the opportunity to meet your family and discuss my qualifications in more detail.
