Growing up with a mother who runs a daycare, I was bound to have a love for working with children. I grew up in her daycare and eventually became a certified NYS daycare assistant. I recently graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, and I am currently back in school to pursue nursing.

I enjoy reading, listening to music, traveling, and volunteering. Fun fact: In high school, I received a certificate for reading more than 1000 books within the academic year. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies. I love learning about various cultures and historical eras; reading is one way I educate myself on these topics.

I also really love writing. I enjoy composing stories and poems or simply sharing my thoughts on a given issue. I’m also curious by nature. I love learning about why things are the way they are and discovering new things and places.
I’m a social butterfly but also a homebody, an ambivert.

As the eldest of three children, I have many unpaid years of experience caring for my siblings, as well as experience as a certified daycare assistant.

I have experience taking care of kids as little as three months to as old as 13. I was a mentor for middle school and high school girls throughout my undergrad years, so I also have experience working with older kids.

I have taken care of kids for hours on end in a daycare setting, and I also have experience with after-school kids that I pick up and take care of until their parents arrive. With all the kids I’ve cared for, I love engaging them in activities such as arts & crafts, dancing parties, etc. And I especially love to take the kids I care for outside to explore. Whether it be to the park or the grocery store to learn about different fruits and vegetables. I believe kids learn through exposure and guidance.

I honestly enjoy watching children grow into their unique selves and getting to know their individual quirks. I am 100% the type who prefers to talk things out, especially with children. Discussing things helps to resolve practically any conflict. I want to hear their point of view and vice versa. I can learn from them just as much as they learn from me.
