I am 27 years old and graduated from college with a degree in education. I have been working with children for ten years and have been a professional nanny for over four years. I love working with children and helping them learn and grow. I think my reference says what you really want to know. I started watched Matilda at 1 month, she is now almost 3. This is from her mom.

My daughter and I feel so lucky to have had Simone West in our lives these past three years. Matilda is an amazing little girl and she would certainly not be who she is today without the time, care and nurturing she has received from Simone. It is incredibly hard being a single working mom but Simone made it easier as I knew my child was safe and happy when I was at work. Unfortunately, my schedule has changed and although we tried to make the new hours work, it became evident that it was not working well for either of us. Now, Simone is helping me find a new nanny to take care of Matilda, and I am helping her to find the right new family.

Simone is a smart, responsible and loving person. Although my daughter cries when I leave for work in the morning, she also often cries when Simone leaves at night. I love coming home from work and seeing Matilda freshly bathed in her pajamas, snuggled up to Simone reading books on the couch or at the table working on an art project. We have a communal playroom in our building and parents often stop me to rave about Simone, saying that they saw the two of them in the playroom and that Simone was engaged with Matilda the entire time, playing, teaching, and correcting her in a calm and caring way if she was not interacting with the other children in the right manner (sharing toys, etc.). Everyone comments that she is never just sitting, chatting with the other nannies or with her head in her phone.

Simones demeanor is perfect. She never raises her voice and is patient beyond words, while at the same time making sure Matilda does what she needs to do. One of the greatest compliments I received came from Matildas three nursery school teachers. They made a point at our first conference of saying that they have seen hundreds of nannies throughout the years and that Simone was absolutely one of the best in terms of the way she interacted with Matilda. That she had all the right instincts when it came to what Matilda needed in order to thrive at school, especially during the initial separation. I have always been proud that Simone was my nanny!
