We’re so glad you’re here. We will have such a GREAT time in Preschool. We will make new friends and have fun experiences. In Preschool we will also be working on and learning many different skills. My goal is to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum that will prepare your children for their elementary school experience. Preschool will ensure the children a smooth transition into their kindergarten year. Parent involvement is a critical part of your child’s school success and it starts in Preschool! I hope to work together with you to give your child the best educational beginning possible!

Our curriculum is focused on growth in 3 developmental areas: cognitive, social/emotional, and physical development. Our curriculum is aligned with the Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards.
A variety of activities will be implemented each day, including:
- Gross Motor Activities: outdoor play, creative movement, climbing, jumping, large block building
- Fine Motor Activities: cutting, tracing, drawing, coloring, writing, gluing, manipulatives, puzzles
- Early Languauge/Literacy Activities: stories, poems, pre-decodable books, rhyming, letter and sound recognition, fingerplays, book-making
- Early Math/Science Activities: counting, patterning, sorting, classifying, observing, sequencing, measurement, shapes, colors
- Social Play Activities: puppets, storytelling, housekeeping and other dramatic play centers, group games
- Music Activities: singing, dancing, instrument playing, rhythms, listening
- Art Activities: collage, murals, painting, play dough, clay, crayons, markers, variety of paper, 3D art
