Arthouse Preschool has been open since September of 2006 and was established by Heather Murray and Amanda Recob. Heather and Amanda wanted to provide quality care for children in the community of Waunakee where Heather resides. Heather and Amanda also believe that the arts enhance the development of any age child, especially for the children before they start elementary school. Amanda and Heather have experience with many ages of children and many types of early childhood educational philosophies, including traditional preschool, Montessori and Reggio Emilia.

The purpose of Arthouse Preschool LLC is to provide a safe, creative experience for children ages 6 weeks-10 years old and to support the children in his or her social, cognitive, and physical development.
Arthouse Preschool reflects an arts-based approach to education. The art program is lead by a certified PK-12 art teacher. Each classroom incorporates art, music, and Spanish to nurture and strengthen all areas of your childs development. Small group and large group instruction is also used to make sure each child is ready for his or her kindergarten experience. Arthouse Preschool also provides a developmentally appropriate program for children in a safe and creative atmosphere through child/teacher initiated activities. The teachers offer hands-on opportunities for discovery, exploration, and experimentation through play and structured activities.
