Arlington P&R - Gunston Creative Preschool

Arlington County has a half-day class designed to provide youngsters ages 3-5 with their first social group experience outside the home. Emphasis is placed on experiencing age-appropriate recreation activities, being part of a group, cooperating, listening, sharing, developing play skills and discovering nature. Choose from two-, three- or five-day-a-week programs from 9:30am to 12:30pm. All are co-op programs, which require each parent to sign up on a rotating basis to assist the teacher with the program, except for preschool at Fairlington Community Center. Here, parents may assist through field trips, holiday parties and other activities, but are not required to assist on a daily basis.
