We are a State-Licensed, Early Care and Education Facility for children ages 6 weeks 12 years old. Each age group has their own separate classroom and each classroom has curriculum in place, which is carried out through lesson plans. Since we are a theme-based school, we have a different theme each week, and the classroom activities revolve around the weekly theme. We believe that parent involvement is a huge part of a childs school success, so Chesterfield Academy gives parents several opportunities to volunteer or be a part of our school-wide activities and events! From classroom parties, to Grandparents Day Tea, to our Open House or our Messy Play Night, or even our Pre-Kindergarten Graduation, we welcome all parents and family members to join us and celebrate your childs school success! We also believe that communication is key to developing and maintaining a positive relationship with your childs school and teachers. This is why we send home a Daily Report each day to let you know what your child did each day. We also take lots of pictures each week, which we print off, post in the classrooms or hallways, and even email to our parents! We hold Parent-Teacher Conferences twice a year so you will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with your childs teacher and talk specifically about your child and his successes, go through his portfolio, and read through his developmental assessments.

Core Beliefs of Chesterfield Academy’s Unique H.O.P.E. Learning Program
The Hands-On Progressive Education Learning Program (H.O.P.E.) is based on the knowledge that children learn best through hands-on activities. It is rooted in a belief that we should teach children how to think for themselves through the process of discovey. Our teachers are facilitators of learning who encourage children to use a wide variety of activities to learn. They encourage children to learn by discovery, and create a flexible curriculum that is influenced by the interests of the children.
Weekly themes are provided to create an interest in the children throughout the year. Lessons include age-appropriate activities related to the theme for that week. These activities include hands-on science and cooking projects, arts and crafts, language development, mathematics activities, songs, games, and daily gross motor skills. Most importantly, the children will gain a sense of self-worth and a love for learning along with the tools for age-appropriate social skills while interacting with other children. Children at Chesterfield Academy are happily geared for the future!
