My name is Felicia Jackson and I am the director at Childcare Network here in Decatur, Ga. I have been working in the childcare setting for over 19 years, 14 years which I have been dedicated to Childcare Network. The positions in which I have held include teacher, health and safety coordinator, assistant director and director. I hold both my CDA and a 40-hr Directors Degree as well as a passion for childcare that grows more and more each day.
Here at our school we strive for excellence starting with our infant room and leading all the way up to the after school class. Each program has a unique learning curriculum to suit the specific age group and their development. The infant room which cares for our babies between 6 months-1 year, uses the Bright Babies curriculum. The toddlers, twos, and threes all use the HighReach Learning curriculum. Then Passport is the curriculum used in our Pre-K class, which is also in connection with the Gelds standards.
The Young Achiever’s Club after school program, which is open to children ages 5-12 is based on a monthly theme to keep the kids engaged and having fun while in our care. During the summer the Adventure Summer Camp curriculum is used, which includes educational field trips and weekly themes coordinated with activities and classroom fun.
