I am an experienced babysitter, with over 25 years of babysitting. Most of the time I offer after school babysitting, as well as weekend babysitting. I worked as an Early Childhood Educator in Trinidad before working in United States. I am presently working in the New York Department of Education, here my experience has contributed to my care taking abilities, as I have worked with children of various ages, genders and ability.

During the recent quarantine, I have also learned a lot about remote learning and can assist children with their school work should they have to remain at home during the school year. My primary goal when caring for a child is to make their home happy, safe, and conducive to their development. Over the years I have learned many effective strategies that engage children intellectually and developmentally, such as: Arts and crafts activities to encourage sensory motor development. Games to encourage cooperation and appropriate social behavior. Educational activities to build reading, writing, and math skills.

I have also learned that my relationship with parents is just as important as my relationship with their child. Through punctuality, communication, and reliability. I hope to build a trusting relationship that makes the hope environment as harmonious as possible. As a mother, babysitter, and an educator, it has become my passion to care for children and encourage their ongoing growth. At the same time I would be able to take care of my home and family.
