My name is Leslie and I am 22 years old, a recent graduate from the University of Connecticut where I received my Bachelors in English and two minors in Human Development and Family Studies and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. In my Human Development minor I took many courses ranging from the lifespan development of infants, toddlers, and all the way to teenagers. The coursework fascinated me as I have a huge love for children and am thankful to currently be working in a cultural exchange program where I match host families looking for childcare with an an au pair from a different country. I make sure that the needs of the children in each household are met with the qualifications that each potential au pair has on their application. I know the importance of making sure children are always kept safe, loved, and cared for to the maximum potential. Before this current position, I worked at Chelsea Piers Day Care center with children 1-5 years old and I also tutored at Dolan Middle School and at Newfield Elementary school through the SPEF (Stamford Public Education Foundation) at Uconn. I have also assisted families throughout the years in babysitting children from toddlers to teenagers. Without hesitation, I have a passion for children and always do my very best to make sure all of their needs are being met to the best of my ability!
