I have plenty of experience taking care of children. I was a mother’s helper at the age of 10 for two kids under the age of 3. I took the babysitting course at Hunterdon Medical Center, and I am CPR certified. I babysat a 3-year-old girl for the past two years. I was in charge of playing with her, feeding her meals, bathing her, and getting her ready for bedtime. In addition, I have young cousins whom I have babysat since they were infants. My cousin has peanut allergies, so I know how to properly administer an epi-pen. Over the years, I also babysat my neighbor who is mentally challenged. I was in charge of feeding him and knowing how to respond if he had a seizure. In high school, I took part in the courses Child Development and Early Childhood, where we conducted our own pre-school in the classroom for 3 and 4-year-olds. I am a recent graduate of Fairfield University, where I majored in Communication and minored in marketing and education. This past school year I tutored first grade students in reading and writing, which was the service learning component of my education course. In order to enroll in the course, I had to be fingerprinted. References are available upon request.
