Hello! My name is Sharai and I am 19 years old (20 yrs in November), and I am a Temple University student. I am in my third year and I am a Child/Human Development Major. I have always had a large and open love for children and infants since I was a child myself. I started my journey on wanting to become a OBGYN Assistant Nurse when I was 12 years old. It mainly started with my interest in female health and the amazement on what a female body can go through. I have two godchildren, ages one and two, whom I care for daily because of living along with their mothers, and I have a 5 month old puppy whom I care for on my own on a daily basis. I have worked with Education Works before for 2 years as a Youth Coordinator, and have created fun activities and learning experiences for kids ages 4-12. I have taken lots of child development courses due to my major at Temple, so I am well aware of different infant and child health concerns and illnesses to look out for and how to detect these symptoms (SIDS, Difficulty breathing, Sleeping positions, etc.). It would be my honor to watch your little Angel’s, and make sure they are in safe hands as well. I myself have went though childhood trauma when it comes to proper care for children (I can go into further details if you’d like in the future when meeting) , and as a victim of childhood trauma, I would never want other children to go through the same things I have.
