Hello! I am Madeline Maher and I am a 25 year old student living in Philadelphia. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I am currently in an Accelerated Nursing program where I get my registered nursing degree and bachelor’s of science and nursing in January ’19. Once I graduate I plan to start working at one of the hospitals right here in Philadelphia. In my spare time I enjoy being active. I was a competitive swimmer my whole life and now I have taken up running half marathons. I also enjoy reading books, such as Harry Potter and listening to music of all sorts. I also enjoy hanging out with my family and friends who live in the area.

I have been a nanny for 2 different families through this site and have had great experiences. I since have relocated from Delaware to Philadelphia and now no longer work with these families. I also have had many different jobs working with children including home health aid services, camp counselor, and swim coach. I was a home health aid for children with disabilities. I helped with activities of daily living as well as feeding, bathing, getting to school, and playing games. I have experience as a camp councilor at “Kamp for Kids” for children with diabetes. I helped calculate and administer insulin as well as help with games, crafts, and play time. At Oaklands Swim Club I was a swim coach and I taught kids from the ages of 4-18 the mechanics of swimming. I also am almost finished nursing school so I have completed my clinical rotations in pediatric nursing at AI DuPont and maternal nursing/labor and delivery nursing at Christiana Hospital. Due to these experiences I feel confident working with children of all ages including infants. I also have a Basic Life Support (CPR) for Healthcare Providers certification.
