Hi families,
My name is Kicara, an upcoming senior Recreation therapist student at Temple University. I have 5+ years working and volunteering with children of various ages. As part time I work for a non profit Americorps organization called Jumpstart-Philadelphia. Helping to prepare children attending preschool in low income neighborhoods for school success. Through 2018-2019 I was Jumpstart Corps member than I got promoted to a Team Leader in summer 2019, leading six corps members to provide developmentally appropriate educational activities with a focus on language and literacy to preschooler. During my free time I volunteer at Children Hospital of Philadelphia as a Child Life volunteer specialist. I am CPR certified and trained in several social emotional and literacy and human development trainings.
