I have been working as a child caregiver for 12 years, both in home settings and in licensed care facilities. Beginning as a babysitter, I was incorporated into a family of 6 and took on more of a nanny role over time within the family. In addition to the regular daily care, I would accompany the family on trips and help at large family gatherings.

My experience in licensed care facilities began in 2010 when I became the assistant teacher of a young toddler classroom. Responsibilities within the classroom were evenly shared and I very often assumed the head teacher role during her absences. I continued to work in two other licensed care facilities as a lead teacher of a young toddler classroom and a lead infant caregiver, where I independently cared for infants as young as 5 weeks old as well as both twins and triplets.

More recently, I worked as a Nanny for 2 a wonderful families. The first was with 3 children. My main focus was on the youngest, who was 5 months old at the start of my employment. I occasionally cared for the elder siblings, ages 6 and 9 at start of employment. I cared for the youngest for an average of 40 hours per week for 2 years, providing individualized care in the home. I planned and implemented educational and skill-building activities that corresponded with her skills and goals, as well as regular excursions outside of the home.
The family I worked for next had one child who was also 5 months at the start of employment. I worked with this family for a year and a half, until the mother went on maternity leave for their second child.
Watching both children grow from infants into the amazing kids they became was an incredibly rewarding experience.

I then spent some time in Scotland, working in both daycares and in private homes, until I returned home due to the covid-19 pandemic, to be nearer to my family.

I am currently Nannying for a family with three wonderful children, ages 12 weeks, 2.5 years, and 4.5 years, until the end of the summer.

I am also CPR (including infant CPR) and first aid certified.
I absolutely love working with children of all ages and watching them thrive. I am constantly amazed by the ability of children to learn so much and to grow so quickly into curious and smart individuals. Being able to be a part of such a wonderful time in a child’s life is the greatest gift, and I am so thrilled to be able to help children discover the wonders of the world around them.
