Hello! Thank you for taking the opportunity to check out my profile! My name is Victoria, I’m in my late 20s and have been looking after children on and off since I was 14. I was raised in Miami, Florida, am fluent in Spanish and English- have experience teaching both languages, along with tutoring in History, Drama, and Elementary School Math. I personally attended a Montessori school from preschool through fifth grade and am a big fan of children learning experientially. I absolutely believe that play is of the utmost importance to a childs development and will always encourage an imagination to run wild. When helping children learn their letters and eventually to read, I lean into the phonetic sound it out method. In college I went on to study Theatre & New Work Development, and am currently studying to take graduate school entrance exams. I can honestly say I have never been so knowledgeable on basic math in my life. Finally, I have two young nephews age 6 and 4 who I do not get to see enough but who have helped me develop a collection of kid friendly recipes that I would be happy to share! In my free time I love baking, yoga, hiking, going to museums & making art.
