My name is Tessa and I am a junior at NYU! I have spent a lot of time babysitting. Some of my jobs have consisted of me watching the kids for Friday or Saturday nights while parents want a night to themselves, as well as working as a mother’s helper while she was trying to get some extra work done at the office. In addition to this, I have had several steady families over my 4 years of high school and my 3 years in college thus far. I watched my neighbors three children (ages 6-12) whenever they were out for the day, out for date night, etc.

I did the same sort of thing for a colleague with their 6 month old and 2 year old.

In addition to this, I spent a year picking up my 8 year old neighbor up from school, walked him home, made him a snack, and started him on his homework/played with him until his parents came home from work.

In terms of babysitting in NYC, I watch three children, ages 5, 8, and 10 on the Upper East Side while the parents are out.

In addition to my babysitting work, I spent 6 years throughout middle and high school volunteering with a bi-weekly program that paired volunteers with a child with special needs, playing with them and teaching them how to swim.

I also worked as a mentor for an 8 year old boy with Autism, developing his social and cognitive skills through various games, exercises, and activities.

Finally, I have been a competitive swimmer for the past 12 years and have spent many, many years teaching swim lessons and coaching my younger teammates.

Additional services: Meal preparation, Laundry, Light housekeeping, and Swimming supervision.
