Hello!

My name is Tanya and I’m a native New Yorker with 20 + years of experience working with children. I have spent the last 8 years working as a nanny for a family with 4 children (ages 2, 8, 16, 17) . I provided full time care for the 2 year old. My responsibilities included; preparing meals, feeding, activities, library visit for reading time, play dates, light housekeeping, and taking the children to doctor’s appointment. I also provided after school care for the 8 year old. I helped with homework/projects and I prepared snacks for her. I also ensured that she followed her parents rules of washing her hands as soon as she arrived home from school and removing her dirty school clothes and changing into her pajamas. I also provided evening/weekend care when the parents went out for date night or weekend getaways.

I love working with children, I don’t see myself doing anything else. My employers would say that I am reliable and trustworthy. I have never called out of work for sickness or any other reason. If I have a Doctor’s appointment I try to arrange them during my vacation time or I will let my family (employer) know ahead of time.

I am seeking a new opportunity because the family I support has decided to enroll their child in a preschool.

I have two of my own (adults now) and I have two grandchildren (ages 5 and 8). When I’m not working, you could find me spending time with my grandchildren at the park, museum, or at home watching movies.
