Hi! My name is Olivia. I love kids and am an aspiring pediatrician. I am starting medical school in the fall, but am seeking childcare work during the summer! I have a strong background in child development – I studied Child Development and Spanish at Kenyon College, where I graduated Phi Beta Kappa. I worked as a Child Specialist at Columbia University Medical Center’s Head Start Program. In this position, I worked directly with parents and their infants and toddlers to educate families on child development and child health. Prior to that, I worked at Kravis Children’s Hospital at Mount Sinai doing play therapy and art therapy. I also volunteered at various pre-schools during college and did public health research on child health disparities at Ohio State’s cancer hospital.

I absolutely love working with kids. Warmth, creativity, and developmentally-appropriate activities are central to my childcare philosophy. My favorite activities to do during babysitting are arts & crafts, reading together, enjoying nature, having conversations, being active, and exploring museums.
