I was a nanny for someone who I now consider a little sister to me for over ten years. In addition to being her only babysitter/nanny during that time, I was her tutor and assisted her mother in her home-school program. I also babysat for many of the other home-schooled students, and developed strong connections with many of the families. The mother that I nannied for always told me how her students always requested fantastical stories that I would make up on the spot, or play the dress up games that I would do with them. I love babysitting because I get to connect with kids and explore that very creative mindset, and seeing how the kids minds grow and explore new ideas. I love being able to be a part of their lives as they become their own people.
