Since I was young I have cared for children, whether it was my younger brother or little cousins. As soon as I turned ten I enrolled in a babysitting certification class in my hometown of Naperville, Illinois. I learned all of the basics and some tips that I still use to date. I was so proud of my certificate after completing the course; I immediately started looking for jobs. Those first three families I worked for were such an influential part in my caretaker career. Thirteen years later and I am still caring for those children today and over a dozen more. I have grown with multiple families, with their children starting as infants and now I pick them up from middle school and high school. I pride myself in my relationships I have grown with the families, parents and children, over the years. I am now about to move out of my hometown and move to New York City and I would love to grow relationships there as well. I am looking for a part time or occasional babysitting job. I am reliable when it comes to being on time, following certain requests and managing the schedules of children. My favorite part of childcare is being a part of a child’s growth: creatively, educationally and personally. I always try to go above and beyond my position by creating enjoyable activities that are fun and educational with the least amount of screen time in a day. Overall, I am very excited for my future endeavors and I can provide any references from my past ones if requested.
