Hi!

I have been babysitting for five years now, starting at the age of 13. I am responsible, caring, and have had experience with almost every age group. In the past some of my responsibilities as a sitter have included bringing the children home from school, assisting with homework, preparing dinner, and putting the children to bed. Other experience working with children involves being employed as a camp counselor for the past three summers. As a camp counselor, I supervised children between the ages of 5-8, instructed the campers in their daily routines, kept track of their dietary needs, and specifically for this past summer made sure the campers kept their mask on when necessary.

If remote learning help is needed that is not an issue. I was a teacher’s assistant for three years where I assisted the teacher with engaging the children, preparing lessons, and managing behavior of the students. I also volunteered at Reading Partners, where I tutored elementary school aged children to ensure that they were given the individual instruction that they needed.

Some of my other work experience includes working at Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices on the Upper East Side and working as a secretary at an Insurance Company in Jackson Heights. Although this type of employment is not directly related to child care, it shows my capability to be hardworking and reliable, which are skills that I apply to being a sitter.

As we know, now is a time that can be very overwhelming and stressful. As your sitter, I will ensure that I do what necessary to make these times a little more manageable.

Rate: $18/hour – $30/hour
