I’m currently studying Music Performance – Voice at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am a driven, passionate, open minded, eager to help college student who melts every time a group of toddlers from the campus nursery walk by me in between classes.

I intend on being home in Santa Barbara from May-end of August. I grew up in a household with a dog, lots of cats, and three younger siblings, the youngest having been diagnosed with Autism at the age of two, with the additional baby cousins coming by for visits on a regular basis.

I am extremely well versed/comfortable with all ages of children. I of course adore the preschool and under age, but I am always so inspired by pre-K and older in hearing what they’re learning in school and what their ideas about things are with such fresh perspectives in mind. I thoroughly enjoy being around children, and I miss it constantly when I’m at school.

While in high school, I interned with the UCSB Koegal Autism center as an assistant to a child’s personal aid during the UCSB summer camp. During that internship, along with my brother’s entire therapeutic journey with Pivotal Response Treatment, I observed and assisted the child’s therapist in helping him participate in camp activities with other children, working different strategies to develop more positive behavioral habits, and assessed the situation as needed when melt downs would occur relying on my innate big sister skills and of course, patience.
