I graduated from Skidmore College which is located in Saratoga Springs, New York in 2016. I lived in Saratoga Springs for the four years I attended Skidmore and prior to that I was born and raised in sunny South Florida. After graduating, I moved to the Bay Area and began a life there. While living in the Bay Area I babysat for three families, taught yoga, and worked at a civil rights law firm. Currently, I am living in NYC after a great part-time job opportunity came into my life and I accepted.

My initiation into child care came early as a teen growing up in South Florida. My family had become very close with our nearest neighbors who have small children. I babysat for all three children for many years until I moved to Saratoga Springs. It was through these experiences that I became comfortable teaching, guiding, and caring for children of all ages. In my second year of college I was hired at my college’s on-site pre-school, the Skidmore Early Childcare Center, as an assistant teacher for the multi-age class. Being allotted the opportunity to work along side and observe young children grow at such a pivotal age allowed me the opportunity to expand my skill set when working with toddlers. At the Skidmore Early Childcare Center/ECC, I developed a variety of positive methods for communicating and connecting with young children. Following my year at the ECC , I began working personally for three families of different children in my multi-age classroom. I continued to nanny for these three families until I graduated college. Beyond that I cared for children from three different families while living in the bay area to further supplement my living costs.

To summarize I care for children because I enjoy teaching and nurturing young, care-free minds. I have years of experience that help bolster my comfort in a wide assortment of child care settings. I hope to find a family while living in NYC to help supplement additional income as I have with others in the past.
