My name is Kate and I am a recent graduate of Bates College. I am looking to eventually have a career in medicine and in public health research. I am outgoing, very friendly and I am a native New Yorker and have a great sense of the city. I have experience babysitting my neighbors’ children in high school and middle school. I also have extensive experience working with children over the summers. I have worked at the New Horizons Day Camp at Brooklyn Friends School while in high school and I also spent two summers during high school and college working at New Country Day Camp, which is located on Staten Island and is coordinated through the 14th Street YMCA in Manhattan. Here I worked with children of all ages, but I was specifically responsible for 4-6 year olds. Previously, I have been CPR and lifeguard certified and I currently hold my Wilderness First Aid Certification, which I earned in order to lead a pre-orientation trip for college freshmen while in Maine.

*Note: I have lots of experience with asthma and allergies and feel very comfortable assisting children with these needs. Happy to discuss this further.
