As a child, attending a summer camp program in New Jersey, I knew one day I would be on the other side as a counselor. Sure enough, as a teenager, I did just that. That experience led to tutoring kindergarten and middle school students throughout high school, working at the weekday sleep away camp, CampusKids – NJ, for three summers and creating theater with young people at the Hampstead Theatre in London during college at Ithaca College, tutoring New York City public school fourth graders as part of America Reads while pursuing a graduate degree in Theatre Education at New York University, and finally, working in the Artistic Programming department of The New Victory Theater for nearly 10 years, selecting the highest quality performing arts to bring to the families of New York City.
