Hi, my name is Julia!

I’m a 20-year-old half Brazilian half American, currently living in New York City, but born and raised in So Paulo, Brazil. I’ve had an international upbringing and was always encouraged to respect and be curious about other cultures, which motivated me to live a year abroad in Denmark, in a cultural exchange program, and also to be interested in learning different languages, such as Spanish, Danish and Italian.

Back in Brazil I was a Social Sciences Major and worked at a human rights social media platform, as a content curator and producer. What does that have to do with children? Not much actually, but I’m an extroverted and energetic person and love being around kids! I’ve had experience working with kids of different ages by coordinating volunteer projects at orphanages and also as a camp counselor for the past 2 years, where I was mainly responsible for girls age 8-12.

Regarding the pandemic, I can assure you that I’ve taken it very seriously and respected all security measures, such as social distancing and the use of masks.
