I have grown up taking care of children. My mother ran the aftercare/ summer care program at my middle school. From primary school through high school, I was often tasked to watch over the younger students. This involved doing crafts with them, accompanying them to places around the school, and playing with them. For a few years In high school, I worked as a volunteer tutor at a church day care. I helped K-12 students complete their homework, addressing questions and checking answers. If there was extra time after all the students finished, I played with the younger ones until their parents arrived. Further, I helped as a camp counselor at a Spanish immersion summer camp for 1st and 2nd graders at my school.
