I grew up in a little town in New Hampshire. I was lucky to be surrounded by beautiful forests and nature and loved playing outside with my neighborhood friends. I also danced and did theater and continued this into my high school and college years. I graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in theater where I was lucky enough to study abroad twice which sparked my love of travel. I also found my passion for working with children during college where I got my start in theater education.

I have worked as a babysitter since I was in middle school when I started as a mothers helper for a family with two children and then graduated to a full babysitter helping with date nights and summer days. I continued to babysit for families in my community throughout high school and during my junior year my older brother and his wife had their first child. I have been lucky to learn from them by watching them raise their, now two, beautiful girls. I babysat for a family in college with two girls and a boy, ages 1, 3, and 5 until I graduated and they were 5, 7, and 9. Watching them grow up as I made my way through four years of school was pretty amazing. I am passionate about education and have been fortunate to work in theater education with children ages 6-12. Since moving to New York I have worked for families with some young ones from ages 8 months to 3 years and love their curiosity. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have studied Italian. I have loved watching my families grow up and being a part of their little ones learning about the world around them.

One of my favorite things in life is helping a child to discover something new about themselves or the world. Whether it is a baby discovering their toes for the first time or speaking their first words or a toddler expressing what they need clearly or a child putting into practice what they’re learning in school and finding new ways to express themselves it never fails to put a big smile on my face. I look forward to getting to know your family and growing with you and your children to help them explore this world we live in and grow up to be responsible, kind, and caring children and young adults.
