Hello I’m Jack! I am 23 years old and am currently in graduate school working on becoming a math teacher. Throughout my career, I have spent about three years taking care of, looking after, and babysitting children. For as long as I can remember, I have always been very good with kids. My family would constantly remind me of this, which lead to my mother volunteering me to babysit our family and friend’s children. I enjoyed it so much that I never really saw it as work. Outside of babysitting, I also was a camp counselor at a country club in Westchester for two years. This camp was run by elementary school teachers that educated immensely in childcare. I pride myself in my patience, ability to enforce fair discipline, and humor, which I believe has kept me from being a “one and done” babysitter. It is these traits and my passion for education that have lead me to pursue a career in teaching. Without my experience in babysitting, I do not know if I would have the same desire to teach as I do today, and I am very much looking forward to continue to have many more fulfilling babysitting experiences!
