Hi – My name is Emily and I work in finance but am currently preparing to go back to school for higher education. I have been babysitting for various families since I was in high school; but my child care experience predates even that. Growing up with a single mother, I had to help out with my younger sister as much as I could and loved every second of it. Prior to moving into the city, I was the consistent sitter for a family with four children that lived in Scarsdale for almost 4 years. I still keep in touch with the family till this day and try to see the kids whenever I go home to see my parents in Yonkers. My babysitting style is all about respect. I respect the children that I care for and view them as individuals with their own personalities, opinions, quirks etc. and in turn, they respect me. I prefer to work with parents who have a routine set up for their children, as it makes a more seamless experience for both the children I care for and myself!
