Since 2012, on and off, I have been babysitting for friends and family, with children ages 3-13. I worked in the theatre department for my local middle school in 2013-2014. In 2016-2017 I volunteered at my local elementary school twice a week doing art and crafts after school with kids in kindergarten through to 5th grade, and was also a mentor for high school freshman in the 2017-18 school year.
Im an experienced swimmer and am relatively athletic, so I can always keep up with kids energy and keep them as safe as possible.
I believe good babysitting stems from respect, communication, and reliability. As a babysitter I respect the parents wants and needs for their children, such as having kids to bed by a certain hour or no electronics until homework is done. I also respect the children, listening to them or playing with them to ensure they feel comfortable with me.
I love working with kids and learning about their interests and disinterests, their quirks, and how to help them grow when Im working with them.
