Hi there!

My name is Charlotte and I’m a babysitter based on the Upper West Side. I’m a recent graduate of Northwestern University where I studied theatre, marketing and business. I’m currently living in New York pursuing acting and music.

I have a very extensive background in child care, ranging from standard babysitting to teaching sailing classes. I worked in a church nursery (ages 6 months – 3 years) for 5 years. I taught sailing to children ages 7-14 for 3 years. At Northwestern, I took classes in theatre for young audiences and drama in education. I learned techniques in educating children through art, drama and music. Aside from babysitting and nannying for families around New York, I also currently work at Kidville UWS were I teach classes in art, music and general ed.; I also lead birthday parties and am adept at handling large groups of children. At Kidville, I work with kids ages 9 months – 5 years.

As a child, I was raised with very limited access to technology and tv, and spent most of my time reading, playing games with my sister and expressing myself through art and music. While technology is certainly more present now, I try to encourage the kids I work with to spend their play time away from screens as I did. I like to use my experience in music and theatre to entertain them without technology and tv. I play a number of different instruments and love to bring my guitar or ukulele along to jobs to provide music in an interactive setting.
