Hi, I am Casey Hall-Landers, a current student at NYU majoring in dance with minors in creative writing and peace and conflict studies. I am originally from San Diego, California and have worked with children my whole life. For grades 6-12 I was part of a philanthropic organization where I worked with the San Diego Therapeutic Recreation Services for children with disabilities including down syndrome, autism, and aspergers. Through this organization I also tutored children with cancer at Rady Children’s Hospital. I have experience in teaching as well. I first began teaching children martial arts and self defence at the age of 14 and fell in love (I have 2 world titles in competitive martial arts but I practice non-violence and peaceful conflict resolution in all aspects of my life). I have been teaching ever since and transitioned my skills in martial arts (both large classes and private lessons) to showing children discipline, respect, and self motivation. In addition, I was also a teachers aid for two years for middle school dance class at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. Now, I teach dance at their summer intensive and host my own virtual classes. I love working with kids in all facets of my life and would like to continue in NYC.
