Along with being an ambitious student I have always been someone who cares about children and enjoys being around them. I have babysat since I was 15 years old. I started as an assistant to my neighbor watching her 3 boys while she was home so she could do things around the house, I did arts and crafts with them set up play dates making sure they were always occupied with things to do and I feed them dinner as well. I stayed with this family for a long time, when I first started sitting they had a 2 year old, I stayed with them until all of the 3 boys were in elementary school. As they got older I took on new roles, picking them up from school and bringing them home, to playdates and sporting events. I also helped them with homework and cooked them dinner, and put them to bed. Babysitting has not only been a job for me but also an amazing experience being able to help families and watching children grow up. I also loved making sure they’re having fun while I am their babysitter, wether it be movies, playing boardgames, playing out doors or even taking them to the beach!

Besides baby sitting I have been a NY state certified beach lifeguard for the past three summers. Being that I am NY state certified, part of that requirement means that I am CPR and first aid certified as well. Being a beach lifeguard also requires being able to guard children lives on the water but making sure they’re safe on the beach and that they’re following the rules. So I have plenty of experience with children baby sitting and on the beach.
