I graduated from Skidmore College in May 2019 with a B.S. in Social Work along with a minor in Sociology and Honors Forum. I have been admitted to the Columbia School of Social Works Masters program with a concentration in Policy Practice and a specialization in Contemporary Social Issues. Despite this exciting opportunity, I have decided to defer my offer to work at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office as a paralegal. Thereafter, I intend on pursuing a dual MSW/JD!

I am originally from Rhinebeck, NY, where I began babysitting at 14 years old. I have since babysat for numerous families in my immediate and extended community. In addition to babysitting, I have worked as a camp counselor and eventually director of a local recreation camp where I was responsible for assisting the camp director in planning, organizing, and running the assigned day program. I also supervised the camp staff and was the liaison to parents and community. On top of this, I have worked as an executive assistant, front desk receptionist, and paralegal where I have polished my organizational skills and professionalism.

Both my social work degree as well as my practical experience as a child care provider, I have discovered a strong desire to center my work around children as a potential career path because, put simply, children are the future! I would love to babysit during my spare time—on the weekends and weekday evenings, and I am happy to travel when needed as well.
