I am a 22 year old recent college grad who is still a kid at heart! I love to be outside and play games! Arts and crafts are my specialty! I graduated from SUNY Oswego and have been caring for children for over 6 years now. I am the oldest in my family so I have been a role model and overseer of my younger brother. For the last 6 years I have been caring for my younger cousins aged newborns to five years old. I have bathed, fed, and put them to bed. I have taken them to outside events and kept them overnight as well. As a mentor through my university’s Mentor-Scholar Program and as a Youth Enrichment Specialist through Say Yes to Education in Syracuse, NY, I was able to help school-aged students with basic math, reading, and writing skills as well as their social and organizational skills. Both of these positions resulted in increased grade point averages for the students I worked with. Not only will your children be in safe and responsible hands, but they will also be with someone who can help them academically.
