Hi there!
My name is Alex, I’m 24 years old originally from the suburbs of Massachusetts, but I’ve lived in Washington Heights for a little over a year now. I’m brand new to this website, but it only took me a few minutes of scrolling to find your job posting for a babysitter starting next month, which sounds like it would work really well for me!

Aside from being a babysitter all through high school and taking care of a few of my professor’s children while in college, I’m also a teacher! I taught an after school science class for kids age 4-11 all last school year. The class was filled with interactive lesson plans designed to make kids excited about learning. After working at the school for a few months, I recognized the need for a drama program, so I worked with the head of after school activities and developed my own drama class for children. My curriculum encouraged my youngest students to explore acting through improvisation (and a whole bunch of silly games to get them out of their shells).

Another fun bit of info about me and my experience with kids: I just finished a 9 month contract with Disney Cruise Line as a performer! During my contract, along with performing in the shows at night, I was working directly with children, making magical moments happen with them as they interacted with the world famous Disney characters (like Mickey and Minnie).
