My name is Bayleigh and I am a student at UT Austin. I have always been passionate about working with children and that is why I’m here! This past summer I was a childcare assistant to children ranging from one to 12 years of age. It was a challenging dynamic, but it was very fun and rewarding. My duties included helping at mealtime, playing and swimming with the children, changing them if needed, and various other responsibilities. I, along with my coworkers, watched all the children from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, and sometimes until later, so we cared for the children all day while the parents worked. I am passionate about working with children, and I plan to work with them in my professional career.
