Hi. It’s a delight to meet you. My name is Rachel. I am very interested in becoming a Babysitter/ Nanny for your family, because I have a natural excitement, and a deep infinite nurturing capability for children. I appreciate how children peacefully and expansively interpret the world. I have been working with children of all age groups for Six years, as a Kids in motion Playground Associate with the company of NYC Department of Parks and Recreation. As a Kids in motion -Playground Associate I worked within an outdoor communal setting, completely independently, within a designated Community Playground for 40 hours each week, for six consecutive months out of the year. During every work-season, the tasks I performed while working within the role of a Kids in Motion Playground Associate were, organizing and simultaneously facilitating multiple sports games for very large groups of children, in order to encourage childrens continued interest in active and imaginative play. I also taught children the ages of 2-18, the subjects of reading, penmanship, creative writing, and math . And I daily, utilized extensive arts and crafts projects to encourage emotional intelligence, and to ensure a peaceful and expressive environment. Daily, numerous Parents in the community would leave their toddlers, infants, and adolescent children with me, for the entire day. When within my care, I ensured these numerous children’s continued safety and health, and I ensured that they ate, and that they also didnt leave the park/playground and get lost or stolen by anyone. I also have six years of hands-on work experience working as a Direct Support Professional within the field of Developmental Disabilities. As a Dsp, I have performed the tasks of working with individuals from a diversity of age groups, diagnosed with a wide variety of Developmental Disabilities. I have assisted clients within reaching their weekly goals, needs, and interests, I have also given hands-on help to clients, within a wide range of daily hygiene skills and tasks, such as dressing, the routine changing of diapers, bathing, assisting with feeding/eating. I also worked as clients community guide, when on recreational group trips.
