Hi! My name is Julia Martinez! I am a 21 year old student, who took this semester off due to a move from upstate to downstate & am currently looking for colleges to transfer to near me. I am currently available all days and times of the week except for Tuesdays – Thursdays before 6:30PM because I babysit for two other families. I have experience with infants as young as 10 months old to teenagers of 13 years. I feel that my personality is one that can fit at any job, but I feel, really is exemplified when I work with families. I am very family oriented and love engaging in kids development. I plan to continue my college degree in Adolescent Psychology. Children are absolutely fascinating and we can learn so much from them! Due to the fact that I have taken the semester off and and am separated between two families in three days, I would love to find a constant family that is willing to work around those three days so I can have more of a routine and also, to create a bond with a new friend. Though I am very familiar with New York because I grew up in the city, my recent move back has been a bit of a shock for me because I no longer have my childhood friends close, so having this much free time and being able make new friends and connections with the most creative of minds would be so uplifting and make my transition back to the city way more exciting! I have my license, but do not have a car, but I am willing to travel wherever is convenient for your family! I also am not CPR certified, but am willing to take classes if family requires! In my 5 years experience of babysitting with a range of ages, I have handled anything from a potty accident to taking kids to the doctor. Also growing up with taking care of my three baby cousins who were all under 3 and only a year apart each, I pretty much have seen it all! I am really excited to meet you all and can’t wait to have some serious fun!
