I have childcare experience dating back to the early ‘90s! Aside from countless babysitting gigs since I was an adolescent myself, I co-nannied a set of autistic twins from when they were 5-months-old until they were 3-years-old. I currently pick up two siblings (1-year and 3-years-old) from daycare twice a week and care for them at their home, including feeding them dinner and getting them ready for bed. I also frequently care for my 4-year-old nephew, who has a severe peanut allergy which I’ve become very accustomed to, and has required me to learn how to properly use an EpiPen.

I have always been told I’m great with children of all ages. I love reading to/with them, doing arts & crafts and activities, and playing with them. I’m also very keen on enforcing schedules and rules for eating, sleeping, and cleaning up after themselves, and disciplining as needed (time outs, revoking TV/technology time, etc.)

I am returning to school this fall to obtain my Master’s in Social Work, so I have a great deal of compassion, tolerance, and patience for others. It also means that I am only looking for temporary work until I head off to school (which is TBD), and the position needs to be part-time as I already care for the two siblings twice a week.

Rate: $15/hour – $25/hour
